Pour Out Your Heart and Soul

Heart and Soul ContestAt Easter Seals Greater Houston, we write a lot of grants. No, really, a lot. When we stumbled upon the Heart and Soul Grant Competition from CommunityTech Inc.’s Foundation – we were more than thrilled! What a unique and creative way to express one’s mission. And we have the chance to win a $10,000 grant to boot!

Therefore, we are calling on all of our wonderful supporters, families, friends, clients, volunteers and staff to submit a poem that conveys the true “heart” of our mission.

psst…{our mission is to provide exceptional services to people with all disabilities and their families so they can live, work, learn and play in our communities}

Poems should be four to eight lines and submitted to ESGH by midnight on Thursday, March 24. We will then select a poem to represent the agency and submit to the Heart and Soul Grant Competition. The author of this poem will receive a $50 Best Buy gift card from yours truly to show our thanks!AND if ESGH wins first or second place, the author will receive a $200 Best Buy gift card from us.

One of the best parts of this grant competition is that there are several prices to be won! Second place gets a $5,000 grant and there are numerous other awards like a signed Los Lonely Boys guitars and technology grants. Not only do you have the chance to win these great grants and prizes, but the winning poem will be the inspiration for a song written and recorded by Bill Dillon and produced by Jim Tullio from Butcher Boys Studios. How cool!

Now pull out that pencil, pen or keyboard – it’s time to compose!
